Step 1 Open a new image with this dimensions:

Step 2 Take the type tool and type the first word of the text you've choosed.

Step 3 With shortcut CTRL+R open the ruleres and place them in the left and right side of our first word, then type the second word on new layer. With free transfrom tool make it bigger or smaller (depends of what the text is)

Step 4 Type the other words too and resize them also.

Step 5 The next thing is to add a paper texture. Mine is from http://www.bittbox.com/freebies/free-high-res-grungy-paper-textures

Step 6 Desaturate the texture with CTRL+SHIFT+D and then lower the opacity. On the first layer which is white add a Filter- Add noise.

Step 7 Now yo can duplicate your text layers and hide the old, then merge the new layers.

Step 8 After the layers are merged go to Filter - Texture - Texturizer= My settings are as you see in the image.

Step 9 Next thing is to lower the opacity of this layer a little bit and use the filter Brush Strokes - Spatter

Step 10 This are the settings for Spatter filter:

Step 11 Next with a lower opcaity if necessery take the Eraser tool and select the brush I have showed you in the image below:

Step 12 You can begin to erase some of the edges of the text. Here what I have to this moment.

Step 13 After this is ready I want thi text to be a little bit softer. So duplicate this text layer with our typography words and use Filter - Gausian blur. Settings for me are like in the image:

Step 14 Need to lower the opacity again.

Step 15 Text I'll add some paintings around it. It will look a little bit like a dirty paper. With brush tool and same Rough brush begin to draw around

Step 16 This new drawings are on new layer and after you make them you can lower the opacity.

Step 17 More drawings like this with the brush and again on a new layer. Lower opacity again.

Final And after all this work we've got this:

Hope you like it. I'm waiting for any replies and questions if you have. Bye.

Cool tutorial. I would have left it at step 11, but that's just me. But it is still nice to know how to do these things. ON :2010-02-06 09:11:01
